Modified Ampex 601 2 ch Tube Pre Amp Vintage Preamp 600

The circuits are true pentode-fed, high gain microphone preamplifier / DIs suitable for use with all types of microphones, but really excel with ribbon mics. Gain is 75+ dB. Each channel uses a 5879 pentode tube as the first stage audio preamplifier and a 12AU7 tube as the line output amplifier. It has an XLR input which couples to whichever input transformer you choose and coresponding -20db pad/ 180 degree phase switches. It has transformerless outputs that are impedance balanced. The outputs use 1/4� TRS jacks and are compatible with both TS unbalanced and TRS balanced cables. Each channel also has it's own 1/4" DI input. For controls it has a single gain knob per channel as well as a selector switch that chooses which channel to monitor with the single built-in VU meter. Casing options such as a wood tabletop case or metal 3.5U rack ears are available as upgrade options.
