Outdoor Boiler System – 330 GALLONS
BTU* 316800
Height to top 101”
Width 65” Length 80”
Chimney size 6”
Firebox size 36"wide x 36"tall x 48"deep
Door Size 24” x 24” Water Capacity 330 GALLONS Maximum Burn time** 24 to 48 hours Avg Fill time** once every 24 hours Fill the hopper once a day, about the same time every day, and it will provide enough heat for 24 hours of non-stop heat. *Calculation for the BTU of our wood boiler 1 gal of water = Approx 8 pounds 330 gal x 8lbs = 2640 lbs of water Boiler runs efficiently @ 180 degrees F in the winter Water is approx 60 degrees F from the ground 180 degrees minus 60 degrees = 120 degrees 2640 lbs x 120 = 316,800 BTU It takes approx 40 BTU to heat 1 sq foot in your home with average insulation and air leaks and normal windows. 316,800 BTU’s divided by 40 btu/sq foot = 7920 sq ft Factoring in “heat loss”, you will lose approx 1-5 degrees on average 90-100 foot outside burial run with moderate insulation on burial pipe. Using our 330 gallon wood boiler, we run it at 180 degrees. 330 gal x 8 lbs/gal = 2640 lbs 180 deg – 60 deg = 120 degrees minus 5 deg heat loss = 115 degrees 2640 lbs x 115 degrees = 303,600 BTUs output. ** Burn times and fill times will vary from time to time due to conditions and outside air temp. This is only as a guide to help one better understand what this unit may be capable of producing. · Heat transfer from Water is approx 50%. Useable BTU at furnace is approx 151,800 BTU providing furnace, air filter, duct work and all other variables are in working order. So, at 151,800 BTU if all variables are covered, this will be able to heat a 3700 sq ft house and hot water. Many other companies will advertise the total BTU and not show the calculations of useable BTU’s. Sure, we could advertise that our boiler system will heat approx 8000 sq foot (as shown above), however, with the water heat transfer, this is not accurate. Our furnace has the capability to heat another source such as a garage or a shed. Our boiler system has extra water ports which are able to run to this separate source (garage, shed, etc) utilizing the full potential of this boiler system!! If you have a 2000 sq ft home, and a 900 sq ft garage, using our 330 gal boiler, you will be able to heat both your home, your garage, your water , and still have excess leftover. Our boiler system is hand crafted and put together by experienced technicians. Some of the other boiler systems out there today are lifted by a crane on the chimney line. We do not use this method as it could damage the weld of the unit and minimize its full potential and cause for problems down the road. We place our boilers on a sled system which is easily maneuvered by a forklift, moving the unit at the base of the unit and untouched to any of its parts, welds, and makes way for a solid unit for you.
