Krell Evolution 525a CD player

In the tradition of all legendary Krell digital playback systems - like the KPS-20i or KPS-25sc - the Evolution 525a is Krell's current top-of-the-line reference CD player. The slot-loaded disc-clamping transport mechanism provides a stable platform for the dual differential 24-bit DAC, one for each channel, feeding Krell's class A analog output stages with CAST connection in addition to the standard RCA and XLR outputs. Sophisticated multi-stage filtered power supply provides separate power to each individual section of the playback process.

The EV525a far exceeds the EV505 that it replaced. The SACD hype is over. We get EV505 trade in for the new EV525a all the time. Unlike the EV525av (with video playback capability), the EV525a is a purist audiophile reference CD player for those of us who still much prefer traditional 2-channel high-end audio systems. Demonstration available at our store in a Krell CAST system with a host of ultra high-resolution speakers for you to choose from.
