The PRX600 Series (PRX615M) is a new step in the efficient use of amplifier power, rugged durability and enhanced versatility in a self-powered loudspeaker. The series has been designed to perform in the real world of sound reinforcement where challenging audio environments, high ambient noise levels and loud volumes are normal.

Neodymium Compression Drivers: High frequencies are handled by the proprietary 1.5" annular polymer diaphragm, neodymium compresson driver. The use of a polymer contributes to lower distortion and a neodymium motor reuces the weight and size while the discrete design of the phase plus and bullet provide seamless acoustical transition to the waveguide.

Road Tough: All PRX600 cabinets are built from a combination of 25mm and 18mm, strong, ligth-weight poplar plywood made structurally sound with tongue and groove joints. The cabinets are protected by JBL's DuraFlex finish. The grilles are made from dent-resistant 16 guage steel and the handles are constructed from light-weight glass-filled nylon for added strength. All M10 suspension points are constructed from 14 guage steel and have been tested with a yield-strength of 1000lbs. each.

Differential Drive Transducers: JBL's tour proven Diiferential Drive technology delivers extended frequency response, high power output and low distortion in a light package. With the neodymium magnet positioned inside the dual-coil/dual-gap voice coil, heavy steel pole pieces are eliminated. And the heat sink is the chasis itself, further lowering system weight.
