Modern Club Chair ARC International designer Kevin Walz $875
Ad Type:
For Sale
Item Type:
New
Description:
A pair of original, highly collectable Circle Club Chairs by award winning designer Kevin Walz (circa 1986). Designed for the Arc International Collection, the Circle Club Chair ...." is an unupholstered conversation between solid wood plywood circles and squares." ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Kevin Walz has been inducted to the Interior Design Hall of Fame and has studios in New York and Rome. Check out his impressive biography as well as his fabulous furniture designs on his website: walzworkinc.com. Both chairs are stamped on bottom as shown. ................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... The cushions are upholstered with a beautiful fabric purchased in Vienna, and are in good condition, although they could benefit from a little more stuffing. Both chairs are in need of new webbing and show minimal wear, with some places on the legs where the outer veneer is missing. The biggest piece missing is shown in photo, on a left front leg and not immediately noticed. There are a couple of small knicks around the bottom. Otherwise, they make a bold, impressive statement as one can see in the photos. They can even be restored by the Walz workshop in NYC if desired. .................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. The pair is a magnificent find for any modern furniture collector, and are sure to increase in value as stunning examples of vintage, late-century modern design. .................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................. At this time they are for pick-up only, but I will help facilitate shipping if necessary -but buyer must do the arranging . They are currently in Montauk, at the eastern tip of Long Is. NY. I'll do my best to answer any questions.
